ARKADATA, Pierre Daunis

System designer with a synchronicity problem and a tendency to vanish down rabbit holes. Composition, motion design, development, a cocktail I've been stirring on my own since childhood. It all points to one question I'd happily spend my life on: How far can audio and visuals be intertwined? We've all had background music land on the moment, the drop hitting right as something happens, blind luck that somehow feels authored. Giving order to that chaos is what I'm striving for: just enough that things feel like they happen on their own, never so much that the seams show. It's at its most complex in game audio, where syncing against unpredictability is its own kind of puzzle. My idea of a good time.
